National Transmission System (NTS) operational limits depending on the Line Pack (LP) [the line pack is the actual quantity of gas existing at a certain moment in the TRANSGAZ gas transmission pipeline system]:
- NTS optimum status: LP = 75.0 ÷ 78.0 mil.Sm3 = 803,850,000 ÷ 836,004,000 kWh
- NTS normal status: LP is comprised between 68.0 ÷ 75.0 mil.Sm3 = 728,824,000 ÷ 803,850,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 78.0 ÷ 81.0 mil.Sm3 = 836,004,000 ÷ 868,158,000 kWh
- NTS pre-alert status: LP is comprised between 63.0 ÷ 68.0 mil.Sm3 = 675,234,000 ÷ 728,824,000 or LP is comprised between 81.0 ÷ 83.0 mil.Sm3 = 868,158,000 ÷ 889,594,000 kWh
- NTS alert status: LP < 63.0 mil.Sm3 = 675,234,000 or LP > 83.0 mil.Sm3 = 889,594,000 kWh
The operational limits are updated with the NTS transmission infrastructure developments and the need to implement new transmission scenarios.
Note: the values in energy units correspond to the annual average gross calorific value (at the NTS entry points) related to the calendar year 2022: GCV = 10.718 kWh/Sm3.
