National Transmission System (NTS) operational limits depending on the Line Pack (LP) [the line pack is the actual quantity of gas existing at a certain moment in the TRANSGAZ gas transmission pipeline system]:
- NTS optimum status: LP = 85.0 ÷ 88.0 mil.Sm3 = 910,435,000 ÷ 942,568,000 kWh
- NTS normal status: LP is comprised between 78.0 ÷ 85.0 mil.Sm3 = 835,458,000 ÷ 910,435,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 88.0 ÷ 91.0 mil.Sm3 = 942,568,000 ÷ 974,701,000 kWh
- NTS pre-alert status: LP is comprised between 73.0 ÷ 78.0 mil.Sm3 = 781,903,000 ÷ 835,458,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 91.0 ÷ 93.0 mil.Sm3 = 974,701,000 ÷ 996,123,000 kWh
- NTS alert status: LP < 73.0 mil.Sm3 = 781,903,000 kWh or LP > 93.0 mil.Sm3 = 996,123,000 kWh
The operational limits are updated with the NTS transmission infrastructure developments and the need to implement new transmission scenarios.
Note: the values in energy units correspond to the annual average gross calorific value (at the NTS entry points) related to the calendar year 2024: GCV = 10.711 kWh/Sm3.
