National Transmission System (NTS) operational limits depending on the Line Pack (LP) [the line pack is the actual quantity of gas existing at a certain moment in the TRANSGAZ gas transmission pipeline system]:
- NTS optimum status: LP = 92.0 ÷ 95.0 mil.Sm3 = 985,412,000 ÷ 1,017,545,000 kWh
- NTS normal status: LP is comprised between 85.0 ÷ 92.0 mil.Sm3 = 910,435,000 ÷ 985,412,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 95.0 ÷ 98.0 mil.Sm3 = 1,017,545,000 ÷ 1,049,678,000 kWh
- NTS pre-alert status: LP is comprised between 80.0 ÷ 85.0 mil.Sm3 = 856,880,000 ÷ 910,435,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 98.0 ÷ 100.0 mil.Sm3 = 1,049,678,000 ÷ 1,071,100,000 kWh
- NTS alert status: LP < 80.0 mil.Sm3 = 856.880.000 kWh or LP > 100.0 mil.Sm3 = 1,071,100,000 kWh
The operational limits are updated with the NTS transmission infrastructure developments and the need to implement new transmission scenarios.
Note: the values in energy units correspond to the annual average gross calorific value (at the NTS entry points) related to the calendar year 2024: GCV = 10.711 kWh/Sm3.
