Gas Workers’ Days are customarily celebrated each second Friday of September. TRANSGAZ gives special attention to such anniversary holding a series of events during September 12th – 19th, 2008. Gas workers’ days celebrate the pleasure and contentment in playing a part in the large and noble family of those labouring over the Gas Industry in order to ensure a source of heat, welfare and development. Already a tradition, the events assigned to such celebration, are held annually within the mid of September.

On the occasion of “The Gas Workers’ Day” to be celebrated on September 12th, 2008, TRANSGAZ management and the Trade Unions thereof seize such opportunity to express their warmest thoughts and good wishes and thanks to all employees contributing, over the years, by their professionalism, earnestness, and determination to the prestige of the Romanian gas sector; and last but not least to all domestic and foreign partners for their kind, fruitful and close co-operation with TRANSGAZ on the most diversified fields.

At Mr. Constantin Grigore’s invitation, as Romanian ambassador to Russia, ROMGAZ and TRANSGAZ Director Generals, Mr. Francisc TOTH and Mr. Ioan RUSU, attended a meeting with the management of OAO GAZPROM, represented by Mr. Alexei MILLER, chairman and Mr. Alexander MEDVEDEV, Chief Executive Officer of OOO GAZPROM EXPORT, on October 16th, 2008, in Moscow.

On November 20th, 2008 the natural gas transmission companies had a meeting in Budapest for discussing the measures which should be taken in order to create a more liquid gas market in Central and S-E Europe, NETS Project regarding the European energy infrastructure.

As technical operator of the National Transmission System SNTGN TRANSGAZ MEDIAŞ must ensure the secure and effioient transmission of the natural gas taken at the inlet points from the producers and from the storage operators, and respectively at the cross-border import points to the delivery points - to the supply operators - and has no rîght to proceed to commercîal operations with this natural gas.

Under Art. 227 of amended Law no.297/2004 on capital market and Art. 113, case D, paragraph 2 of Regulation no. 1/2006 of the Romanian National Securities Commission on security issuers and operations, amended by Regulation no. 31/2006 of the Romanian National Securities Commission, TRANSGAZ notifies all interested parties that the QUARTERLY REPORT for the 1st semester, 2009, is available as of August 7th, 2009, as follows:
