NTS Operating limits

National Transmission System (NTS) operational limits depending on the Line Pack (LP) [the line pack is the actual quantity of gas existing at a certain moment in the TRANSGAZ gas transmission pipeline system]:

NTS optimum status: LP = 40.0 ÷ 43.0 mil.Sm3 = 429,240,000 ± 461,433,000 kWh

NTS normal status: LP is comprised between 38.0 ÷ 40.0 mil.Sm3 = 407,778,000 ± 429,240,000 kWh or LP is comprised between  43.0 ÷ 46.0 mil.Sm3 = 461,433,000 ± 493,626,000 kWh

NTS pre-alert status: LP is comprised between 33.0 ÷ 38.0 mil.Sm3 = 354,123,000 ± 407,778,000 kWh or LP is comprised between 46.0 ÷ 48.0 mil.Sm3 = 493,626,000 ± 515,088,000 kWh

NTS alert status: LP <33.0 mil.Sm3 = 354,123,000 kWh  or LP >48.0 mil.Sm3  = 515,088,000 kWh

The operational limits are updated with the NTS transmission infrastructure developments and the need to implement new transmission scenarios.

Notethe values in energy units correspond to the annual average gross calorific value (at the NTS entry points) related to the calendar year 2018: GCV = 10.724 kWh/Sm3.
